I have MS and there are days when mobility is a challenge. On bad days I've had the thought - I wonder if those raised seats would help? Much like when I was in the hospital when I ended up diagnosed, I had refused to talk to the physical therapist about a cane at first because pride. The only raised seats I had seen were the hard plastic ones, back when I took care of people's moms. Then I saw this and reconsidered. I don't need it right now but at least now I have it for when I'm having those kind of days.
Some assembly was required. I had to put the two pieces of foam in the two sides. I was glad that there were two sections and didn't need to try to get them lined up evenly. The zippers were smooth. It was a tight fit and required some wiggling and I was careful not to get the zipper stuck in the fabric. Only took about 3 minutes but I'm a perfectionist and was trying to get it looking just so.
It folds in half and has a handle. The bottom has straps to put on the toilet seat. It also comes with lots of sticky pads to further prevent any slipping.
It's quite comfortable. I like that the material appears to be easy to clean. It's nice to know that if I ever needed to thoroughly wash it (I would imagine by hand in the sink) that I can remove the foam.
Definitely recommend this kind of raised toilet seat over the big plastic ones!

I use this for travel, as many hotels have “low” toilets, which are difficult to get on and off if you have knee issues. Works great, secure and comfortable!
